Our Story
When I was a teenager, my skin was breaking our badly and was really getting me down. My Dr immediately put me on the contraceptive pill, which worked wonderfully and quickly, but I was a slave to it. Every time I tried to come off it, my skin would erupt into terrible, painful breakouts. They still do this to young girls. It’s absolutely crazy!
When I got married and wanted to start a family, I came off it for good. My best friend from uni, Alice, had spent years studying biomedical sciences and nutritional therapy and set up her own clinic specialising in women’s skin health. She was seeing women exactly like me.
She put me on a practitioner-grade range of supplements and the impact was phenomenal. However, I was spending £400 a month and needed her advise. But it changed everything.
We thought: we could help so many women with this. So we combined it all into one product - and did it properly, because the supplement market is grossly under-regulated. Anyone can make a supplement and sell it based on women’s insecurities. We knew what actually worked.
That was eleven years ago. Beauty Formula came first. Then Pregnancy Formula, because when I fell pregnant we couldn’t find anything good enough. Then Menopause Formula. Then the Editions.
We are so passionate about what we’ve built, because women like you, and us, deserve better.

Meet the Founders
Alice Mackintosh
BSc (HONS), NT, BSc (HONS), mBANT, CNHC
Alice holds two degrees - biomedical sciences and nutritional therapy - and has spent over a decade running her women's health clinic. She has worked with thousands of patients on skin, hormones, fertility and menopause, and every Equi formula starts in her clinic. She is also a bestselling author, a mother, and the scientist behind why Equi actually works.
Rosie Speight
Rosie spent her early career as a trader and in sales at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan before leaving the City to build Equi - the product she needed and couldn't find.
Eleven years on, she runs the business, leads the commercial strategy and international expansion, and is living exactly what Equi is built for: the reality of modern womanhood, two daughters, a never-ending to-do list, and trying to actually look after yourself somewhere in between.
She doesn't have the time to be fanatical about wellness, but she knows how good it feels to give yourself one genuinely brilliant thing every day that helps you power through the weeks that fly by. It's not about restriction. It's about living your life, and helping yourself do it well.
